One Thing

That which is above is like unto that which is below, and that which is below is like unto that which is above, to accomplish the miracle of the One Thing

The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trimegistus

The Sefer Yetzirah, 2:6, Gra Version (Imperative)

Fire?  As energy or light?  Air or water – the gaseous fluid of incandescent fire, these words describe its elemental forms, its states, but not what it is.

Is it Love?  The spark that drives the everliving fire is ignited by gravity and fusion, are they other words for Love – is the repulsive force of strife which keeps matter hanging apart opposed then to the one Love?  No Love and Strife are terms for actions within the One Thing.  What do Love and Strife seek, Knowledge and Ignorance respectively – the knowledge and ignorance of the Good, the Excellent.  What is this excellence, the Thing itself or yet another quality of it.

Is it Thought?  Nous?  Is it what really happened… is it truth?  Both love and strife work with knowledge, isn’t knowledge ultimately derived from observation – observation as the quanta of the one thing, but the one thing itself – a great eye?  Are atoms and particles then rarefied artefacts of obervation, of seeing, grains of the powdered stone which is all knowledge and all seeing?  Is the one thing, number – a reflection of a lense in a lense – for before one what do you count?

Questions and answers, words… Keter is the Concealed of the Concealed.
