My name is Logan and I am an international teacher, and student of the Qabalah, living and working in Prague. Being in the unenviable position of teaching multiple subjects to IGCSE and IB I have a unique perspective and holistic grasp of the educational curriculum. Combining this occupation with my studies of alchemy and esoteric sciences I aim to provide a series of “Hermetic Lessons” to my students, lessons which draw on the history and practices of the mysteries, in order to inject a little bit of colour, life and magic into my teaching of the syllabi. On this blog I intend to share lesson plans, teaching ideas and the educational philosophy that is behind these “Hermetic Lessons”.
Alongside this I intend to present accounts, materials, notes, speculations, diagrams of my studies in the Qabalah particularly those inspired by my work with the Sefer Yetzirah. The Qabalah is one of those ancient and great traditions behind the explosion of ideas and reason that occurred during the Renaissance. Practice of the Qabalah provides an insight into and unifies diverse histories and cultures, develops skills such as critical and/or holistic thinking, and exercises faith, imagination, intellect and memory.
Whilst the two categories of Hermetic Lessons and Sefer Yetzirah will prove to be the main subject of the work on the site, I will also include some photo-journals and reviews of my experiences and thoughts whilst a resident of arguably the most beautiful city in the world. Mother Prague.
